Paul says:
There’s a saying among con-men that smart people are easier targets, because they don’t think they can be conned.

I’m not sure if that’s true, but there’s one scam that’s almost guaranteed to make smart people switch off their brains and reach for their wallets. It’s a trick that’s used so pervasively in our culture, that once you become aware of it, you start to see it everywhere.

Yellow lights last longer when the speed limit is higher. As a rule-of-thumb I estimate about one second of yellow light per every 10 mph (e.g., a yellow light on a 45 mph road lasts approximately 4.5 seconds).

The timing is probably based on some more complicated math involving speeds and braking times, but here in California this formula works pretty well.

Perhaps the most well know principle of photographic composition is the ‘Rule of Thirds’.

It’s one of the first things that budding digital photographers learn about in classes on photography and rightly so as it is the basis for well balanced and interesting shots.

There is a quick service surfaces which is called Bore Proxy. It is a free anonymous web based proxy service which allows you to go through web sites which is blocked by your current Internet setup (usually office/school/university connections). For some reason I have the hardest time finishing library books. Most likely it’s the pressure of completing a book before the ever-looming due date. By the time it has come and gone, and all my renewing privileges have ceased, I’ve only read 4 chapters. But being the book lover I am, I hate to send back an unfinished book.

How to finish books on time

ince managers are usually responsible for getting work done through others, we often don’t recognize when inactivity, apathy, procrastination, and other non-performance viruses creep into our work habits. Our peers may be producing at high levels, but we find ourselves coasting. Sometimes, subordinates may even point this out to their manager.

So what’s going on when the manager is the poor performer?

When non-performance begins to creep into your daily standards, one of the following may be the culprit:

What's Happening When It's the Manager Who's Not Performing?
Stevepavlina.com has one interesting article. When I read this I realized that how true it is as we all run after something which is not present at the moment. And as a result you create stress and fear( that it might happen).

I have seen this example personally. My father always lives a life of joy. He is always happy, having fun with the life. Even though life gives few setbacks, brings tension or unsolvable issues. I have seen that it affects my father momentarily. Then he is back to the Joy mood. And as its been said "laughter is the best medicine" even after being a chain smoker he doesnt have any disease.

Joy is in fact your natural state of being. Babies enter this state very easily because they are fully in the present moment. They do not seek themselves in the past or future.

When you are joyful, your life flows with ease and lightness. Existence is no longer a struggle. Why? Because when you stop resisting the present moment, you stop creating problems for yourself.

Get your credit reports and look carefully. Even if everything looks okay, be suspicious of “credit inquires” that don’t look normal to you. A bad mark was the first indication that something was wrong. But looking at the inquiries was how I found out they had cell phones in my name. Why would Verizon be looking at my credit? I’ve never been near them.
